New Beginnings: Opening Opportunities for Success is designed to help reduce our state’s recidivism rate by providing released inmates and their families with the opportunities to improve their lives, achieve self-sufficiency, and become contributing members of their community, ultimately to serve as positive role models and mentors themselves for those coming out behind them.
Initially, we would like to implement a 200-bed facility in Oakland, California to serve as a model for other cities. By utilizing existing resources and developing innovative programs, New Beginnings is planned to service many communities throughout California.
