Membership Mission - Families United for Prison Reform
To create a million person voter's block that would be able to qualify any initiative for the ballot, amend the California Constitution, repeal any initiative by referendum that does not serve our interests, recall judges, have a significant impact in electing the Governor, the Attorney General, State Legislators, City Council representatives, District Attorneys, and be the determining factor in the appointment of County Sheriffs and City Chiefs of Police.
Our 2008 Membership drive has begun! Join now so that you can be a part of our class action suit to be filed against Global Tel*Link to retrieve the excessive charges billed to us when we accept collect phone calls from our loved ones.
We are asking all of our friends, families, and supporters to join now. For a donation of only $20.00 per year, you can receive a yearly membership, your loved one who is incarcerated will become a member, and you can anonymously sponsor one of our many indigent inmates who cannot afford the $5.00 inmate membership fee. You can request to be notified regarding who you are sponsoring.
Complete membership benefits include:
- Receipt of Quarterly Newsletter
- Automatic inclusion in all class action lawsuits filed by Families United for Prison Reform
- Participation in surveys concerning the annual plans of action to be taken by FU4PR. For example, class action lawsuits, initiatives, and the recall of judges.
Three membership options are available:
Inmate Membership - $5 per year
Family Membership - $10 per year
Sponsorship of Indigent Inmate - $5 per year
